Nadine and James’ Wedding at St Pauls Cathedral & Pennyhill Park
Working in Switzerland and living in France Nadine got ready at nearby 196 Bishopsgate whilst James used the Grange St Paul’s.
Attended by 5 Brides Maids, Nadine’s shoes were by Jimmy Choo , her pearls (a present from James) were by Mikimoto and the dress by Suzanne Neville.
On their arrival at the Cathedral, Nadine and her Father were met by the Virger Fabiano Boretti.
They were then escorted down into the OBE Chapel passing the Tombs of the Duke of Wellington and Horatio Viscount Nelson.
The service was conducted by the Reverend Andrew Hammond, Minor Canon and Succentor of St Paul’s.
Following the ceremony the Register was signed in the ajoining Knights Bachelor Chapel.
Whilst the Choir conducted by James’ Nephew performed two pieces of music for the awaiting guests.
The Newly married couple left the Chapel to the accompaniment of the Hornpipe from Handel’s Water Music.
A few moments of quiet reflection beneath the Dome of St Paul’s followed by…….
The formal photographs which took place on the steps of St Paul’s.
With James’ Mum , Dr Barbara, proudly displaying her insignia as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire .
It was then time to move to Pennyhill, James and Nadine in a Vintage Rolls Royce, The Guests in two Routmasters and myself, Nadine’s Mum and Dad in a vintage Jaguar – all captured by a filmcrew from Japan.
Before the arrival of the guests we were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings offered by this stunning venue.
Canapes, Pimms and Champagne were served to the Guests on the Lawn as they arrived at Pennyhill Park.
The wedding Breakfast was accompanied by Cristal Champagne with Mike Thwaites as Toastmaster.
Following the Wedding breakfast and speeches we took the opportunity to relax and explore the grounds of Pennyhill – and of course more photographs.
The Evening reception began with the first dance to music provided by Richard Finch-Turner, but it was the quiet moment shared dancing together at the bottom of the candle lit stairs that summed up the romance of the evening.
Katie who had flown over from Australia for just 3 days to be able to read a lesson for her best friend Nadine at St Paul’s.
A wonderful day was had by all.
