Toastmaster Training in Essex

On Wednesday I joined my good friend Richard Palmer and his fellow members of the English Toastmasters Association (I am an Honorary Fellow Member) at their headquarters overlooking Danbury Palace in the heart of Essex for a training seminar led by Richard.
Continuous professional development is at the heart of the organisation - the training session was attended by Toastmasters working throughout the UK and internationally as far afield as the USA.

Honary Fellow Membership of the English Toastmasters Association

Last Friday I had the great honor to be presented with an Honary Fellow Membership of the English Toastmasters Association by my good friend and Founder Member of the Association - Richard Palmer.
Does this mean that THE wedding photographer for Essex is now to become THE Toastmaster for Essex? Not a chance - I leave that honour to the professional members of what is a truly outstanding organisation - The English Toastmasters Association.

Wedding Photographers Essex - Reminder to myself - I must keep my Blog up to date!

Geoffry Archer once wrote that the hardest part of writing a novel (read Blog) is sitting down - I concur and promise to do better.

Over the last week (when not photographing widgets and other commercial necessities) I met up and assisted my good friend Richard Palmer with his Toastmaster Training and met new member of the English Toastmasters Association Michael Wall. Together we also visited the Church of St John the Evangelist and St Erconwald at Ingatestone where Clare and Pat are being married on the 23rd May with the reception at Layer Marmey Tower.

On Sunday I went to All Saints Church Theydon Garnon - Jess and Jack were also there to hear their Banns being read - I am photographing their wedding there on the 28th May (the reception will be at Gaynes Park).

Earlier last week I visited my fencing club (The Lansdowne Club). Over a glass of wine we all agreed how healthy sport was - of the 8 fencers present 6 were carrying injuries of which 5 were directly attributable to sport (2 hips (mine included), one back, the remaining shoulders and arms) - the one exception was an injury incurred whilst looking for Polar Bears in the Arctic Circle - crashed snowmobile.

I also learnt that my eldest daughter - Rebecca, had been accepted to read Photography at the Royal College of Art for her Masters in September.

Jo and Chris's Pre-Wedding Photographs - Gaynes Park Barns

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of meeting Jo and Chris for their pre-wedding shoot and planning meeting.

Jo and Chris are getting married at Gaynes Park in April, with CourtOnCamera being the Wedding Photographers Essex chosen to capture their special day.

Whilst there I also met my good friend and English Toastmaster Ted Prior.

The English Toastmasters Association - Kevin Goodwin

On Thursday I had the pleasure of meeting my good friend Richard Palmer - Toastmaster (below) of the English Toastmasters Association together with new member Kevin Goodwin.
Kevin had travelled down from his home in Rochdale Lancashire for the meeting.

As many Essex Wedding Photographers will agree the value of a Toastmaster during your special day cannot be overestimated - with member toastmasters of the English Toastmasters Association being the very best.

Tea and Toastmasters (no marmalade)

One of the greatest pleasures that I have is meeting my good friend and Toastmaster - Richard Palmer (seen below with Lucy and Steve when I photographed their wedding at Ivy Hill last month) and members of the English Toastmasters association.
Yesterday I met newly enrolled Toastmaster Geoffrey Cornwell from West Sussex. We discussed at length the role of Toastmasters and how from an Essex Wedding Photographer's perspective we can work together to ensure the happy couple's day goes without a hitch (other that between themselves).
