Chrissie and Sam's Wedding Photographs Pledgdon Barn Essex

On Saturday I had been invited to photograph Chrissie and Sam's wedding at the Pledgdon Barn Wedding Venue near Stanstead in Essex. Chrissie got ready at the most exquisite bed and breakfast - The Cottage Guest House - at nearby Birchanger which comes highly recommended.

Despite upbeat assurances that it would be to the contrary by the Gentleman Farmer and owner of the Barn - The weather was foul - it rained all afternoon and evening.

Nothing however could dampen the spirit of the day in which I felt privileged to participate as their Wedding Photographer.

All 110 guests had a wonderful time - many of which had travelled from Dorset - Chrissie's home county.

All photographs were taken with a Nikon D3, with the new 14-24 F2.8 lens being particularly useful. It was also the first opportunity to use the new SB900 flashgun - it did not disappoint.

Pre Wedding Photographs Pledgdon Barn - Chrissie and Sam
 

On Thursday I met up with Chrissie and Sam for their planning meeting and pre-wedding photo shoot. Chrissie and Sam exchange vows next month and have invited me to photograph their wedding.

We met up in Central London and following the planning meeting walked over to a local park for the shoot. The problem was with the sun shining it was very difficult for this Essex Wedding Photographer to get up and face the journey back to Epping on the Central Line which was facing disruptions.
