Jessica & Jack's Wedding Photographs Gaynes Park and All Saints Church Theydon Garnon

On Thursday I had the great pleasure to be asked to photograph Jessica wedding to Jack. Jess was given away by her father Bob.

The Wedding took place at All Saints Church Theydon Garnon with the Rev Bryony presiding.

The Wedding Breakfast was held nearby at the beautiful Gaynes Park.

Clare and Patrick's Wedding Photographs Layer Marney Tower

On Saturday alongside my good friend and Toastmaster - Richard Palmer, Wedding Photographers Essex - CourtOnCamera had the honour and great pleasure to have been invited to photograph Clare and Pat's Wedding at St John the Evangelist and St Erkenwald's Catholic Church with the wedding breakfast at The Layer Marney Tower, Essex.

The photographs will be available for viewing by family and friends at the end of next week.

Charlotte and Roger's Pre-Wedding Shoot

One of the great pleasures that I have as a Wedding Photographer in Essex is visiting different Churches throughout the county. It was just under a year ago that I last visited St Dunstan's Church at Hunsdon with the Rev Mark Dunstan priest in charge.

Next month I will be photographing Charlotte and Roger's wedding there - complete with a Shire Horse driven carriage.

Essex Wedding Photographer wins prestigious Press and PR Award

On Monday member photographers of the Master Photographers Association (MPA) and British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP) in London and Essex gathered together at Prested Hall in Essex for their annual Regional Print Competition. There is nothing more nerve wracking than to be judged by ones peers.

Despite stiff competition the Press and PR award was awarded to CourtOnCamera. The winning image was photographed by myself at a Celebrity Golf Day at Hanbury Manor in July last year - it is of course no surprise that it was raining at the time.

Weddings Spain's Hall - Fran & Martin's pre-wedding shoot

Today I had the great pleasure of meeting up with Fran and Martin at the stunning Spain's Hall near Finchingfield for their pre-wedding shoot and planning meeting.

Jewish Wedding Photographers Videographers Toastmasters, DJ's and Event Planners Essex and London

Yesterday at the invitation of Harish from jeuximages, CourtOnCanera my good friend Richard Palmer and American Toastmaster Barry Gilden joined the elite of Jewish Photographers, Videographers, Toastmasters DJ's and event planners for lunch at Hendon.

I was pleasantly surprised and delighted to see old friends including: Videographers John Rose (Terry and Davids Wedding - Spain's Hall) , Locksley (Fay and Jim's Wedding - The Whitehall Hotel), Gavin Freedman (Gideon's Bar Mitzvah - Park Lane Hotel) and Photographer Andrea Solomon who's daughter's Bat Mitzvah I am photographing in September this year.

I was also delighted to meet new wedding professionals in the Essex Area in particular photographer Karen Zetter (Karen went to my daughters school - Woodford County High - as did Andrea (I have now been told)) and Event Organiser Felisa Kennard (who is organising Andrea's Daughter's Bat Mitzvah.

The food was superb but the company was better.

Wedding Photographers Essex - Reminder to myself - I must keep my Blog up to date!

Geoffry Archer once wrote that the hardest part of writing a novel (read Blog) is sitting down - I concur and promise to do better.

Over the last week (when not photographing widgets and other commercial necessities) I met up and assisted my good friend Richard Palmer with his Toastmaster Training and met new member of the English Toastmasters Association Michael Wall. Together we also visited the Church of St John the Evangelist and St Erconwald at Ingatestone where Clare and Pat are being married on the 23rd May with the reception at Layer Marmey Tower.

On Sunday I went to All Saints Church Theydon Garnon - Jess and Jack were also there to hear their Banns being read - I am photographing their wedding there on the 28th May (the reception will be at Gaynes Park).

Earlier last week I visited my fencing club (The Lansdowne Club). Over a glass of wine we all agreed how healthy sport was - of the 8 fencers present 6 were carrying injuries of which 5 were directly attributable to sport (2 hips (mine included), one back, the remaining shoulders and arms) - the one exception was an injury incurred whilst looking for Polar Bears in the Arctic Circle - crashed snowmobile.

I also learnt that my eldest daughter - Rebecca, had been accepted to read Photography at the Royal College of Art for her Masters in September.
