Salmon Fishing in Scotland 2009

Taking time out from photographing weddings in Essex I made my annual pilgrimage north of the border to Scotland. This year I was very careful not to tell the Salmon that I was visiting Tayside but somehow they found out, but not all was lost - a beautiful wild brown trout fell to my lure.

The highlight of of my visit was the opportunity to photograph a pair of nesting Osprey at the Loch of the Lowes in Perthshire.

For the technically minded the above photograph (a 100% enlargement) was taken using a Nikon D3, 200-400mm lens and 1.4 converter - the distance approximately 1/4 mile.

Pre Wedding Photographs Gaynes Park and All Saints Church Theydon Garnon - Jess and Jack

On Monday I met Jess and Jack at Theydon Garnon Church for their pre wedding photo shoot, they are being married there in May.

The red brick tower at Theydon Garnon was added in 1520 - a relatively modern addition to a church who's chancel dates back to the 13th Century.

The reception will be held at the wonderful Gaynes Park Barns with Wedding Photographers Essex - CourtOnCamera recording the day.

Layer Marney Tower Wedding - Clare and Pat's pre-wedding shoot

Yesterday I met up with Clare and Pat for their pre-wedding photographs at Layer Marney Tower Essex.
Clare and Pat are having their reception there in May. It was lovely seeing them both again after just over a year from when they chose Essex Wedding Photographers - CourtOnCamera to photograph their special day.

By a unique co-incidence Layer Marney Tower featured on Channel 4's the Time Team, Henry VIII's lost palaces, that evening.

Wedding Photographs Gaynes Park Barns Essex - Jo and Chris

On Saturday I was back at one of my favourite wedding venues in Essex - Gaynes Park Barns, photographing the wedding of Jo to Chris.

Jo was given away by her Mum Mary and accompanied by three Bridesmaids.

From her family home in North Weald, Jo travelled to Gaynes Park in a stunning vintage Bentley.

Although it threatened rain throughout the day it held off until the very end.

The toastmaster at Gaynes Park for the day was my good friend Ted Prior of the English Toastmasters Association

Wedding Gaynes Park Barns - Natalie and Al

Last Sunday I had the great pleasure of photographing Natalie and Al's wedding in the beautiful setting of Gaynes Park Barns near Epping, Essex.

Throughout the week it had rained and rained, but on Sunday it finally relinquished leaving it cold, cloudy but above all dry.

A wonderful time was had by all.
